Variety reports that Dwayne Johnson is talking to 20th Century Fox to star in a Big Trouble in Little China remake, whether he’ll be driving into Chinatown in the Pork Chop Express is still in question.

The screenplay will be penned by frequent writing team Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class, Thor).

Also, it would appear that Johnson wants to step into the driver’s seat and take the role of producer through his 7 Bucks Entertainment production company.

There’s no doubt that Dwayne Johnson is a huge name. When he isn’t destroying whole cities in the Fast and Furious franchise, you can see him saving cities in San Andreas which managed to take in $53 million this weekend.

This news is sure to shake up fans of the film everywhere creating a vortex of equal parts Yin and Yang across the Twittersphere. Perhaps though, before passing judgement, we should do as Ol’ Jack always does and just say, “What the hell.”
