Entertainment Weekly has just released some official photos from the upcoming Starz series Ash vs. The Evil Dead and they complete with plenty of fan service.

The first photo (shown above) shows Ash and two new faces. Pablo, played by Ray Santiago, looks to be having a pretty bad day and is definitely going to need some Oxy Clean to get those stains out. Also shown is Kelly, played by Dana DeLorenzo, who could either be sporting S-mart’s new work uniform or possibly just got out of a speed dating session.

Another photo shows Pablo and Ash behind the wheel of a car, which according to an interview Bruce Campbell did with EW, is the classic ’73 Delta 88, the car that makes an appearance in the original film The Evil Dead along with many of Raimi’s other films. Campbell also got a few driving pointers from another household name.

“Sam’s original Delta is back,” says Campbell. “I’m talking the ‘73 Delta 88. The Classic is back! I’ve driven it. I did a William Shatner power-slide in that car. That’s the only spoiler I’m gonna give you: that Ash and that car — we can power-slide. I met William Shatner on the convention circuit, and I talked about T.J. Hooker. He talked to me about how he power-slides those cars in T.J. Hooker. So I took Shatner’s advice, and I used that advice to do a T.J. Hookercombo-platter — with the Classic — power-slide.”

EW also released a slew of photos from the inside of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, the antagonistic Book of the Dead responsible for the whole mess. Inside fans can find familiar pictures and runes along with Sam Raimi’s original planned plot for Spider-man 3 in ancient Sumerian in which Peter Parker teams up with My Chemical Romance and the gang from Scooby-Do only to discover it was Mysterio masterminding behind the scenes the whole time.

It’s only a glimpse, but hopefully these images can sate fans until Starz releases the series later this fall.
