Trailer for ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’ Season Two has Spawned

Last we checked on the Gecko Brothers things weren’t exactly on the up and up.

Last year Robert Rodriguez debuted the television retelling of his popular horror film, From Dusk Till Dawn on his channel El Rey. Since then the series has gone in its own direction, changing the plot and the fates of many of the characters. The series also gives us a more detailed look into the origin of the infamous Titty Twister bar and all those damn vampires running about.

It’s looks as if some new faces will be joining the series this year. D.J. Cotrona, who plays Seth on the series, did an exclusive interview with Nerdist and revealed the addition of a fan favorite.

“I know Danny Trejo comes on this season as a very cool, interesting character who pursues myself and others throughout the season and they had a lot of fun with Danny, so I think fans of Danny will be really happy with what happens to him.”

Hopefully whatever happens to Trejo it doesn’t involve desert tortoises.

From what we can tell from the trailer, it looks like Richie and Santánico are on the lam, Carlos has taken up blacksmithing and Ranger Freddie has announced it’s vampire-hunting season. Also, the addition of Jeff Fahey spouting wisdom as only Fahey can. This can only be looked at as a positive as it’s scientifically proven that Jeff Fahey’s presence makes any film or television series 45% better and all other films are hurt by his absence (see Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace).

From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series returns Tuesday, August 25 at 9PM ET on El Rey.
